Bring your ChatGPT history into Admix. Export your data, open Settings → Import chats, preview conversations.json, and select the conversations to save to your account. Imported chats appear in your history and can be continued with an available model.

Open your conversations.json

Choose a ChatGPT or Claude JSON export (up to 25 MB). Preview your conversations, then copy or download one as Markdown. Your file is read in this browser and is not uploaded or saved to your Admix account.

Text only. Images, attachments, tool results, memories, and project settings are not imported. ChatGPT previews follow the active conversation branch. Refreshing or leaving the page clears the loaded file.

How to import from ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open your profile, then Settings → Data controls → Export data. Confirm the export request.
  2. Wait for the export email or SMS and download the ZIP. OpenAI says delivery can take up to 7 days and the download link expires after 24 hours.
  3. Extract the ZIP on your device and look for conversations.json or numbered files such as conversations-000.json and conversations-001.json. Open each numbered file separately to import all your history.
  4. Open Admix → Settings → Import chats and sign in. Select your JSON file, preview the conversations, and choose the chats you want to save.
  5. Click Import selected chats. Once saved, open a conversation from the result or your history, choose a model, and send your next question.

What is in a ChatGPT conversations.json export?

Conversation records contain a title and a mapping of messages. That mapping is a tree: editing a prompt or regenerating an answer can create a different branch. This viewer follows current_node back through its parents so the preview reads as one conversation instead of combining competing answers.

Continue a ChatGPT conversation with another model

Admix saves the imported user and assistant messages in order as a native conversation. Open the saved chat from your history, select an available model, and ask your next question. The imported history is available as context for the new turn. Model context limits still apply to very long conversations.

If you cannot find the export

Check your inbox and spam folder, and confirm you requested the export from the correct account. Self-service exports are not available for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Healthcare workspaces; contact your workspace owner for organization-managed access. An export cannot recover chats you already deleted.
