Admix Review 2026: All AI Models in One App (Worth It?)

I've Used Admix for 6 Months. Here's My Honest Take.

Before Admix, I would default to whatever app I had open, even if another model would handle the task better. Now switching takes one click. It sounds like a small thing, but over time, using the right model for each task makes a noticeable quality difference.

The Price Is Hard to Beat

I'm on the Starter plan at $10/month (or $8/month billed annually). I was paying $40/month before ($20 for ChatGPT Plus + $20 for Claude Pro). The Interface Is Clean

What Could Be Better

No Custom Instructions Per Model

In ChatGPT, you can set custom instructions that apply to every conversation. Admix has a general custom instructions feature, but I'd like per-model custom instructions. I want Claude to know I prefer detailed analysis, and I want GPT-5 to know I like concise responses. Right now I have to choose one set of instructions or include preferences in each prompt.

Model Updates Lag Slightly

When OpenAI or Anthropic releases a new model version, it sometimes takes a few days before it appears in Admix. This has only happened twice in six months, and both times the delay was under a week. But if you absolutely need the latest model on launch day, you might be waiting a bit.

No Mobile App Yet

Admix works in mobile browsers, and it works fine. But a dedicated mobile app would be nicer. ChatGPT's mobile app is polished, and I miss that experience when using Admix on my phone. The team has said a mobile app is coming, but it's not here yet.

Each plan has a fixed price and a visible credit allowance. Models consume different amounts, and the picker shows an estimate before you send. That is easier to plan around than raw token billing, but it is not unlimited usage.

Who Should Use Admix

People paying for multiple AI subscriptions. If you have ChatGPT Plus AND Claude Pro AND/OR Gemini Advanced, Admix replaces all of them for less than the cost of one.

People who want to try different models. If you've only ever used ChatGPT and you're curious whether Claude or Gemini might be better for your work, Admix lets you test everything without committing to separate subscriptions.

Budget-conscious users. At $10/month for all models, it's the cheapest way to access premium AI models. Students, freelancers, and small business owners benefit most from this pricing.

Anyone frustrated with AI quality on some tasks. If you've thought "ChatGPT is bad at this" or "Claude doesn't do that well," having access to 350+ AI models means you'll almost always find one that handles your specific task better.

Who Shouldn't Use Admix

People deeply invested in one ecosystem. If you use custom GPTs extensively, rely on Claude's Projects feature for long-running work, or need Gemini's Google Workspace integration, those platform-specific features don't exist in Admix. You're trading ecosystem features for model variety.

Enterprise users with compliance requirements. Large companies with specific data processing requirements might need direct contracts with AI providers. Admix is better suited for individuals and small teams.

The Bottom Line

Admix isn't revolutionary technology. It's a practical solution to a real problem: AI subscriptions are too expensive and too fragmented. By giving you all models in one place at a lower price, it removes the two biggest friction points in using AI effectively.

After six months, I'm still on Starter. Saving $30 a month compared with two $20 subscriptions is useful, but picking the right model for each task is what keeps me using it.
